MP Eatala Rajender Attends Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti Celebrations in Jawahar Nagar

Jawahar Nagar: MP Eatala Rajender attended the 199th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule in Jawahar Nagar. Addressing the gathering, he said Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was a great social reformer who united the poor and fought against social inequality, discrimination, exploitation, and injustice. He stated that Phule was a guiding force and inspiration to B. R. Ambedkar, who later framed the Constitution of India. He highlighted the contributions of Savitribai Phule, who played a key role in promoting women’s education at a time when it was denied to them. She opposed orthodox practices and became the first woman teacher, proving that education is essential for social development. He noted that due to such efforts, women today are excelling in all fields, citing examples like Kalpana Chawla and Indira Gandhi, along with women serving in top administrative positions. He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced 33 percent reservation for women in legislative bodies, calling it a significant step towards women empowerment and inclusive governance. He appreciated the installation of Mahatma Phule’s statue in Jawahar Nagar on the occasion of his 199th birth anniversary and emphasized the need to carry forward his ideals to future generations. He said Phule’s life stands as a symbol of sacrifice and a continuous struggle against injustice, and people should draw inspiration from his legacy. Division President Jogarao, leaders Kamal, state executive members Manik Reddy, Venugopal, Mahipal Reddy, and several party leaders and workers were present at the event.
