His name is Syed, 30 years old. He was born in Khammam and later went to China to pursue an MBBS degree. After completing the course there, he returned to India and began practicing as a Unani doctor in the Toli Chowki area of Hyderabad. According to the rules, anyone who completes an MBBS degree abroad must pass the IMA qualifying examination in India before being allowed to practice medicine. But Syed had other plans. In fact, someone with an MBBS degree is not permitted to practice Unani medicine. Nevertheless, Syed ignored the rules and began his Unani practice in Toli Chowki. A few days later, he opened a shawarma center in the Karwan area. While managing that hotel, he shifted his base to Rajendranagar, where he started working as a real estate agent, buying and selling properties.

He kept changing roles doctor, hotelier, real estate agent until suddenly, his real face was revealed. This time, he had gone to Rajasthan and if things had gone as he planned, there might have already been a massive wave of death in the country. At a toll plaza in Rajasthan, police stopped his car for a routine check. Inside, they found firearms and bullets. They also discovered a can containing four liters of castor oil, which surprised them. When the police questioned him about it, Syed gave inconsistent answers. Suspicious, the police interrogated him further and then the truth came out. Syed confessed that he had planned to purify the castor oil to extract ricin, a highly lethal substance, and use it to carry out a biological attack in densely populated areas of India. He had recruited youths from Uttar Pradesh and other regions. Syed was reportedly in close contact with the ISIS Khorasan module. Following their instructions, he prepared ricin from castor oil. He even traveled near the Pakistan border, where he used drones to receive pistols, bullets and other equipment all supplied from Pakistan.
Terrorists operating in Pakistan were recruiting educated individuals like Syed doctors and professionals to execute their violent plans in India. Syed’s changing roles from MBBS graduate to Unani doctor, shawarma seller and real estate agent were all part of his strategy to avoid suspicion. He thought he could outsmart everyone, but eventually, the police caught him. Born in a small town like Khammam, Syed’s journey could have led to success but instead, it became a path to destruction. Now, the police are working to unravel his entire terror network.
